I’ve got a question for moms with fur babies as well.
How do you deal with the germs?! 😂 I recently adopted a dog. But the thought of him running around outside and possibly stepping on poop then coming in on the rug and chillin with baby is driving me effin NUTS!
“Little dirt never hurt”?
What’s your take?
Apparently kids with pets end up being less likely to get sick/have allergies I heard, since they are exposed to more germs at the beginning of their life through the animal. Builds up the immune system.
@delamorena2121 as a mother u have to just learn to deal all kids like to make a mess I use to be crazy over messes but had to learn to let go some seems how I have 5 kids and I know their not just going to sit and do nothing all day
@delamorena2121 he shouldn't get sick my kids don't get sick from the dogs or the farm animals only from school or the weather messing with their allergies and everyone grew up different just wait til he's not around to give him meds then and taking meds don't make it so u get sick they were made to help and if I can help my kids in any way I will
@toshagager, Thank you. I was just wondering if he could get sick from dirt and other stuff at puppy brings in on the paws. My dad gives me the whole “ when I was in Africa and I was a little boy I never took any medications for cold and I never get sick now.” Which is true he’s not lying LOL
Yes it's way less stressful and especially fine when u can't see anything u should be enjoying this time with him cause they grow way to fast trust me before u know it he'll be 11 lol and I don't see a problem with giving meds as long as they need it when it's a cold amd cough I give my kids raw honey it help but not til their 1 my kids also have allergies so it can be hard to tell the difference in them I know the difference when my allergies go nuts and usually my kids are at the same time
@toshagager, ok thanks.. seems less stressful that way. My dad said something similar but it was about giving him too many medications for colds. So even tiny poop particles and dirt is ok?! It’s not like Hughes chucks come off or anything... my eyes don’t see it. Just my brain
@delamorena2121 no I don't worry about it and it's best for them to be exposed to germs or by the time he goes to school his immune system with be shit and he'll constantly be getting sick because he was never exposed to the germs for his immune system to build up
Oh no. I don’t know what to say...that’s a sticky situation. I would block off areas where your child is and where your dog is. My dog isn’t allowed up stairs or in the kitchen. That leaves the dinning room the living room and back area. I would just try and keep there areas separate. At least until he’s done putting things in his mouth.
@toshagager, I guess I’m just asking, do I really have to be this worried, I try to wipe down his paws as often as I can, but , do you worry about it? You managed to keep a child alive up to 11 lol.. I’ll take your word for it. Just feel like I’m going nuts
@toshagager, @mikaylanichol101, yes this boy is a pitbull. Great with the baby but I saw him run outside and I THINK he stepped in poop. Anyway I freaked out and started scrubbing the floors. 😩 so you think it’s ok?
@mikaylanichol101 that's why I can't have a cat the thought of them in a litter box then getting on my counters drives me nuts but we have 2 dogs plus farm animals I have my issues with poop but I'm way more relaxed with dogs
I have a pit bull. As long as you vacuum regularly I would worry so much. If your child isn’t already they will be soon be playing in the dirt then self. Germs are everywhere. Ain’t nothing you can do about it.
