Depends on the Dr. Mine only does 2

Mine did 1 but the baby was being a brat and won't let us see everything so I had to go back

Only 2 if you have a normal pregnancy.

@beerus, @mrscloud_tinycloud, just doesn’t sound like enough . 🤷🏽‍♀️ I would think like 3 . The first one to confirm pregnancy, second for Anatomy , & third to keep up on baby’s growth & Development . ( maybe like in 3rd trimester )

@keilaa, it really just depends on your doctor. The 3rd one isn’t even that long. 15 minutes the most. Not every woman gets three though. So, the first is to confirm the pregnancy. The second (the anatomy scan) is to look for any chromosomal abnormalities, go through all of your baby’s body parts to make sure they’re growing properly and to check your amniotic fluid. A third ultrasound is only done if your doctor finds anything wrong with your anatomy scan and they just want to check to see if what they found is still there or not. Like me, I had a third to check for fibroids I had in the beginning... if I didn’t have fibroids then she would’ve never ordered me a 3rd ultrasound.

Growth scans aren’t necessary and are usually only done for high risk pregnancies.

You have the option of 3. The last one is optional. You only get more if they think there’s an issue.

Since I have a subchorionic hemorrhage, I’ve had about 5 so far... and more to come just to make sure the baby is ok.
