So they say never to put baby to lay on their front only their back to avoid cot death but I know a few people who's done it and nothing's happened 👀
Don’t be nieve about it. cot death is real and can happen. Don’t put them on there front to sleep.
Its more likely to happen if they are left on their front which is why they say that. Until they can roll themselves back and forth then they should go on their backs. It's not worth the risk xx
They are the lucky ones :) because it can cause babies to die...like @mum2sky Its because small babies dont have the head control. Maya rolled onto her front from 3.5 months in her sleep and could roll back..she also had amazing head control from birth. But the key thing is head control...as long as baby can move their head up and down..side to side...then it should be fine. If a baby doesnt have good head control and they fall asleep face down..then they will suffocate. Just because others have done it and their babies are fine...doesnt mean yours will be... So id advise not to put baby to sleep on their tummy unless you are watching them. X
The problem is that parents will put them on their bellies and when they're new born they have no neck control and will then fall asleep or go and do housework and the baby will suffocate. I used to leave skyla on her belly when she had better neck control because of her colic but I never left her unattended
@rachaellw I've always put my boys to lay on their backs from birth onwards.
