Anyone’s child hurt themselves like hit there hand against something or use there head or other body parts when they can’t be held or get there way? My son started the hand thing as a joke and I’d kiss it better and just now he punched the wall when I was plating dinner because I couldn’t hold him and got pissed that I didn’t kiss his hands and cuddle him so he hit his head to get his way! My mind is so confused how am I supposed to handle this situation? Being a first time mom I’m learning as I go please comment some advice! He’s gonna be 2 in June.

My daughter hits her self when she gets mad or if I don’t let her have my phone, I don’t know if you spank or not but I popped her hand and she has stopped ever since then. They test you and see what you will do. It’s their way of throwing a fit. I tell her no and explain why and if she try’s it again I popp her hand again.

I think it depends on how strong willed your child is @shyshy2.3 if you do pop or spank it could turn into a who can hit harder match. If he is wanting your attention maybe you can redirect and have him help you or bring you something?.... Kind of get his mind off and ignore it but if he keeps doing it and gets harder I'd research it and see what you find. If he were mine I would go far from treating hitting with hitting at least to start.
