I've read that you should be able to hear your baby's heartbeat using a regular stethoscope after 22 weeks. I've tried without success. Has anyone had any luck with this?

@mz.foy14 I'm trying to avoid to much exposure to soundwaves. I already have to get a couple extra ultrasounds because baby has a single umbilical artery so we have to monitor to make sure he's getti g enough nourishment and growing properly.
@beerus yes I do have a stethoscope lol I like to role play sometimes lol. Maybe I need a better quality one. I'm afraid to use dopplers because soundwaves do slightly heat the body tissue and in some cases they can produce very small bubbles in some tissues. That's also the reason that I decided not to do 3D/4D ultrasounds. The waves from at home doppler systems aren't nearlyas strong as the professional dopplers and even less than ultrasounds but I'm still being cautious. In regards to 3D/4D ultrasounds., sometimes the techs aren't well trained as they might not have the same requirements as those that operate in medical facilities. Sorry for the long response.
I couldn't hear mine. I figured maybe I need a certain quality one. I have a doppler at home I use though.

I've never met such a nasty group of females. Tearing other woman down, for what!? Do you feel better about yourself! While the rest of the world is fixing each other's crowns you bunch are knocking other woman's off. Shame on you hope if you have daughters they never run across a female like you.
