Anybody have tips as to how to help one month old sleep through the night. More than every 3 hours
@damiensmommy1117 thanks i didn't think about that. Now i know :)
@guevarasarai1995, her weight times 2.5.. so if she is 6 pounds she needs about 15 ounces a day. But if you're breastfeeding there's really no way to know unless you're pumping. And don't quit breastfeeding that's awesome but unfortunately you're going to be getting up in the middle of the night for a little while you don't want a month old to go more than 5 or 6 hours ever without eating it's crucial to their growth. I hope you get it figured out girl! I know it's hard but this period won't last long.
My baby had two days where she would sleep from 8pm until 4am which felt good. Now she got into a pattern where she goes to sleep at same time then wake up at 12 fuzzy eating until 2-3am 😪
@guevarasarai1995 my son didn't sleep more than four hours straight until he was about four months old and he was formula fed, some babies you just have to wait out until they get a bit older and are awake for longer stretches during the day :/
@mommabear1014 how do you know she's fed 24 hours worth of food. Lol and yea I'm breastfeeding, i tried to formula feed her but she doesnt want it no more.
Lol her belly is tiny but it feels like she eats so much!
It's so hard to do when they're that young but it's really all about getting all the food intake the baby needs for 24 hours during the day. So if you're trying to get 6 hours of sleep (to start) you have to get 24 hours worth of food in 18 hours. Now don't force feed her if she's full she just needs to learn how to fill up more at a time and go longer without food really. It just takes time her belly is so tiny right now! My baby now sleeps through the night but she is formula fed these days. Harder with the breast milk because it goes through their body so fast. Idk if you're breastfeeding but that's one thing to think about.
She is one month she shouldn't be sleeping through the night I breastfeed my son who is now 17 months but started transitioning him to the crib at 7 months I co slept with him and he has been sleeping through the night ever since except on occasions when he was teething and he was sick
