Overwhelmed looking for a new car seat for little man as he is getting to big for his current car seat 😢

@nomli, that part depends upon which recline you’re using. This is my 4ever extend2fit on recline 3 with the tray out 1 click. (My back seat is extremely small) the seat in front of it is pretty close to the dash but still useable.

If you had it on recline position 4 it’d be more compact but if it’s on any other recline with the foot tray out it’s not as compact. However, leg room isn’t a big issue cause kids will put their feet wherever to feel comfy.

@santistevanmommie, even with the extender out? I thought it made the back go further out, and ours is already almost touching the front seat, even moved up. But with the angle of our backseat it can only at the one notch to be level.

@nomli, it’s crazy but the extend2fit has the ability to be much more upright than the 4ever does. But they’re all really great seats. I have the regular 4ever and the 4ever extend2fit. The only reason I recommend the regular extend2fit is because it’s much cheaper for basically the same features and not as bulky.

@lortiz0810, uhhuh!! We switched him out of the career at 4m, I think, and the first time he was in it he looked so big! But really, any car seat has to meet the same minimum requirements, so they're all safe. Some do exceed requirements or have fancier features. We got the 4ever on sale right before Thanksgiving for like $170 or something.

But also, whatever you pick, make sure it fits well in your car. Not every seat can be angled correctly in every car, plus some are big. Our car the front seat has to be way up to fit right. The extend2fit would never have worked in our car.

@lortiz0810, if you’re interested in the 4ever extend2fit id highly recommend the regular extend2fit because you’ll have to replace the seat before you get a chance to use the booster mode. Which isn’t that big a deal because high back boosters run about 30-40$ on the cheap end. Plus it’ll get you to high back booster age just as easily as the 4ever extend2fit but for less money.

Yeah I’m trying to find something that will last more than just a couple of months. He’s growing but not at a crazy rate... reviews are honestly what makes me dread buying a new car seat... a lot of mixed emotions going while shopping... 😩😩😩

I spent weeks searching...reading reviews, comparing prices/features. Got the 4ever but wish I had splurged on the Diono, since lifting him over the seat is tough (He's heavy) and the Diono is lower.
