Kind of annoyed rn..

My daughter has been playing with her babydoll all day. She gave me a detailed description of the birth 😂 (I let her watch birth videos while I was pregnant. She was curious) and then proceeds to “breastfeed” her baby. Well I thought it was absolutely adorable! So we call my mom and she is giggling right along with me and saying what a good mommy she is. So I call my mil as well and get a totally different response. She seems horrified to say the least..I don’t think she was ever comfortable that I let my daughter watch births but she’s curious and was asking questions and I’m not one to make up some sappy story. I tell her like it is. I don’t want any weird misconceptions as she gets older that are just confusing. Anyway..when she shows her Gram that she gives her baby milk with her boob just like mommy does, my mil try’s to convince her to try a bottle and cover up instead. Excuse me?? She is watching me raise her and her siblings and emulating what she sees. I don’t want my daughter growing up weirded out or uncomfortable by our bodies natural functions or feeling as though feeding her baby with a breast is sexualized in any way. I cut her off and said “you are just watching mommy and trying to be a good mommy to your baby?” And she says “yes! I want to be just like my mommy”

It’s just annoying sometimes that she looks so horrified that my daughter has been “exposed” to childbirth. I would’ve had her in the delivery room with me if I could!!
