Ill probably get lots of hate for this but I really struggle with taking care of my son. During my pregnancy I didnt consider adoption as a choice cause I didnt think I would be capable of giving my own flesh and blood away but everyday I wish I could give him to someone else. But now he has been part of my family and I dont feel like giving him away is an option now. I do feel trapped... Sorry its the truth you can all say I told you so or hate me if you want

No hate at all. But went over your profile & I really think you should go get yourself some help and talk to a professional. Not only for you but for you and your son's well being.

I thknk if you don't stop feeling this way you might want to consider telling someone or getting help. You already didn't want this baby and now that he's born you're realizing how much work it is. I'm not saying you can't be a mom. Because I know you could. I'm saying you lack the motivation to get over it and just do what you have to do. Postpardum depression is a dangerous thing. I've heard of people that have tried to kill their baby or neglect them for hours or days. Letting them cry and starve and sit in their own waste. If you think you're in a bad place you need to talk to someone efore you start resenting him. I'm not saying you should be loving this stage but you should want to hold him. If it helps I promise that when they reach 9 months to a year they are so silly and fun. It really helps kick you in the butt to do all the things you have to do for them. They reward you in laughs and silly faces and kisses and hugs. I promise

You got this! Don't feel any type of way. Not every mom is the same. Give yourself lots of time to destress. I know you might hear this a lot but it will help! If you can get emotional state under control, you will soon see everything else fall into place . And don't forget you just had a baby . Your body is going through lots of dramatic changes. You already took the first step in acknowledging that this is a problem, you just have to find a reasonable solution that works for you and baby. It doesn't hurt to talk to someone about your feelings. Maybe a counselor?

Give it Time, and ask for as much help as possible. Nothing wrong with getting help lots of mothers have their mom come live with them for the first few months just to help. No shame. Also maybe get some help before n the community. This is just a short time, you will get through it

Call your doctor ASAP! It sounds like a severe case of postpartum depression.

Honestly for me the first 3 months were hell. I had really bad post partum depression and I felt no connection to my baby. She also had colic and would scream for hours on end. It was terrible :( pm me if you want to talk

I think a lot of moms feel like u. Not everyone has love it first sight with there child. I agree with the other moms that your feelings can change. I'm glad you got some time to yourself yesterday. Is the fathers family a possibility to take your son more often?

@ib.crazyskittles18, i know this may be a last resort but if you wait it out and the bond gets no better , do u think your parents might look after him until your ready to be a Mam again ?

Not everyone enjoys the baby stage mama. But do you think you could have post partum depression? Aloooot of moms suffer from it.

Give it time. Usually the first 3 mths are adjustment periods for both of you. It will get easier once he settles into a routine.

Yea I don't know why but i really just hate holding him its so much nicer when he can just be chill on his own, i feel like every mother loves the baby stage and im just so ready for him to grow up and be more independent (hold his own bottle, not need to be held so often etc)

I HATED being at home inside all day every day with my son but I was too worried about him getting sick if I took him out so young. I did take him out like to the store with us and to meet his other family and it helped. Even to this day I’d rather be out and not at home with him when he was an infant I’d get super frustrated with him because he wouldn’t nap and I HAD to be in the same room as him in order for him to stay asleep. I was so overwhelmed and frustrated but as he got older and started rolling over and standing and playing with things it got better.

It takes time. When my son was born I was afraid to hold him, change diapers & etc. Now it just comes to you. You will adjust.

I didn't feel connected to my son at first... it'll get better. At that age they are just whiny potatoes! They turn into funner potatoes soon...then crawling potatoes...

I would just suggest trying different things. Go somewhere fun and enjoy it with him. Take silly pictures. And of course, when you need a break, leave him with someone safe and take one.

I am sorry you feel this way. How old is your son? Being a new mom is very hard and draining. Do you have anyone that can help you?
