The group their is is not active I made one but since I have like nobody it's not active.
@danielzamor2007, I’ll ask her and something about extending school summer break due to her falling behind due to winter break
I wouldn't worry yourself though... Keep in mind there's tons of steps that they do with children with aspergers or other special needs to find exactly what helps suits and fits your child best... Really that's with any child because they're all different and unique in their own way
Honestly I would ask the teacher to better explain to you as to why they feel that they would like to use the system with your child...
@momx3 I'm sure she can hear correctly... Unless you've been told otherwise... This is just something that helps children with Asperger's and other different special needs children to understand expression... Some children with Asperger's attend 2 speak with a monotone voice as to where this would help them understand at certain parts in your conversation the pitch of your voice may change...
@momx3 the teacher may be able to give you a paper about it too... Normally we have books that we keep an office that gets into a little more depth... If so she could print you up some information
@momx3 sometimes they do it vocally or with audio... Helps expressions... I don't have much knowledge with it though.
@danielzamor2007, I tried googling it and I couldn’t find anything on it . I’ll try a audio vocal system
@momx3 To simplify it- it's you using different pitches (tones) in your voice for them to better catch on or to understand... Another thing we call it and you can research to get a better understanding is- Audio vocal system regulation....
@danielzamor2007, what is a 1 to 5 voice regulating system? Her teacher is recommending one .
@momx3 I've worked with two children a few years ago that was diagnosed with Asperger's... Actually one of my brother's was diagnosed with Asperger's as well.
@danielzamor2007, that’s great we’re working on an Aspergers diagnosis for my oldest daughter.
I'm not sure if there is or not... But- I'm a Head Start teacher and I work with special needs children as well... Ever need anyone to vent or any advice- I'm here!
@busymama, oh ok
