@courtneyhodge486 Okay... Unless in different states it's ran differently- normally they'll have a sit down with you and the father... They'll gather all information like (Work place information) ect... Then they'll break it down with the calculated percentages of what he will owe monthly which usually you will get bi-weekly... I'm assuming since you already know what he owes they already have an idea of what he will be paying monthly... At that point they will ask if you want your child support payments put onto a card which is like a debit card... Or would you like a direct deposit into your bank account... Then obviously you will have to sign some papers and give them that information- have you down this??? Normally the process can take a month sometimes a tad bit longer- so I do suggest if by certain time you haven't heard anything or haven't received any sort of papers in the mail I would give them a call...
@courtneyhodge486 Well I'm replying back from personal experience and from knowledge- my aunt is an attorney for child support/ and other legal battles... Honestly it sucks- but it depends on how fast the office works... I'd say by March 9 if you don't hear anything I'd call child support... The day of court did they already ho over what you'd receive?
How long after the court date did you receive support I went to court the 9th and have received nothing for my daughter
That was all done on the 9th he is going to be paying 52 a month plus 7 for back support but I haven't heard anything more
