Help!?
Our DD birth certificate hasn't come in yet. We thought it would be mailed to us automatically after my leave, but it turns out we are the ones who need to order it? How do we do that? Where do we go? That kinda seems important. You'd think they'd make that a priority during my stay at the hospital; no one said a thing. They had told us, "the foot prints will work as a birth certificate until the real one arrives" then nothing more on that matter, which is what cause us to assume. Please, can somebody help us out here?
@nomli @mrs.swan110916 we completed all of the paperwork they gave us but they never mentioned the process of receiving a BC. We assumed they would mail it to us but that didn't happen. The only thing they told us was about the paper with her footprints, weight, etc. They said to use that in the meantime. That's why we assumed. Now I'm completely lost and don't know how to order a birth certificate. I've looked online but all I run into are fraudulent websites.
We did all the paperwork in the hospital, and the social worker there mailed it all in, I think. At least I don't remember doing anything once we were home. We had his BC within two weeks.
When I had my daughter all I had to do was fill out the paperwork and the hospital mailed it all out for us.
That's why I mentioned the foot prints. They told me to use that... @mckallalynn..
You should've never left the hospital without mothers copy. It is a print out of what your babies birth certificate would look like with all of your and dad's information. That is what I had to take to first doctors appointment, etc
I had to take my "mothers copy" cut the bottom and mail it to the state of Tennessee with so much money to get his original birth certificate the only thing that I didn't have to pay for or worry about was his social security card which I received about 6 weeks after I left the hospital.
You should go ask where they give you the birth certificate. I got my DD that same day hers. I hope you get it soon.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
Call the County clerk's office for the town/county you had her in. They're the ones who issue birth certificates, I believe.
