I had my grandma give my son and niece and nephew one I didn’t believe in it either I’m a firm believer in god and I attend church twice a week, however I do believe that there is evil that does exist we see it daily , he wore it a couple times but then I just took it off. There is this girl at work who believes deeply in this and made all the girls at work one who was experiencing bad vibes and negative energy , since they been wearing it all has been well, so idk the stuff is weird crazy if u ask me, I never new how to look at it ... I guess Hispanics tradition have there own beliefs along with others...
@jellybeans_mumm, yeah there are evil in this world , we are all sinner but the most important thing is that every day we get closer to God 🙏🏻 I’ve had so many bad experiences in my life and if it wasn’t for God who gave me the strength I don’t know what I would have done , people are entitle to believe in whatever but honestly I think those item are witchcraft my husband grandma got me one from DR and I throw that shit in the garbage then my men was like just put it on my son so my mother won’t feel bad and I told him no I don’t feel like I have to put something that I don’t agree with just to make the other person happy like I’ve told her long ago don’t get that for my son and still does it anyways
@bj1605, I totally agree with you 1,000% my boyfriend thought I was crazy to even put it on him, he didn’t agree with it ... after he would wear it I felt weird like something wasn’t right then I decided nope never again he don’t need to be wearing it, I had one to and took it off... my grandma and aunts believe deeply in this stuff they always said that if I took my son out in public and people who would just admire him that they would need to touch him to ensure no bad vibes or no fussy ness would rub off on him , I would even tell people that would say “omg ur son is so cute “ that they would need to touch him they would look at me crazy like what? Hahah so I’m like ok I need to stop with this shit ... so I just let it be ..
@jellybeans_mumm, yeah girl when they gave it to me I just felt bad vibes and then in my house it just started to act strange idk 😐 so I throw it in the garbage and took it outside and then I felt good but yeah my mother in law and his grandma was like u need to put this on him so nobody can wish bad on him and if any stranger said awww the baby is so cute or handsome and doesn’t say God bless u then I have to do it and am like wtf lol 😆 am always blessing my child in the morning and when he goes to bed I don’t have to be doing all that ! And she got upset with me and am like but u had ur kids u do whatever u want to them and let me raise my son however I want too

Umm usually it’s just plain gold, and it’s not always to just ward off evil xD this is so silly. I’ve never even seen one with gold and some other color on the bracelet. It’s just gold, but maybe that’s a white person adding more color or whichever. Who knows. To me it’s an honor to wear it. I believe in God too and I believe he has the power to protect us, no object. But the bracelet is an honor to wear. But if you don’t want your kid to wear it, it’s your decision.
@sarasmilesatyou, yesh there are many color most of them are either plan red or red with black and some are gold bracelets with red like the one in the picture and I respect ur opinion . I just wanted to let people know because am tired of repeating myself to people and then when I do people just tend to get mad 😠 but like why lol it’s my life it’s my son my opinion u the one who ask if u going get this mad then u shouldn’t have lol 😂

If you don’t want your son to wear it, then that’s that. He is YOUR son. Everyone can get mad, but they have no reason to be. He didn’t come out of their vagina, so they don’t get to have an opinion on what happens or doesn’t happen to your son. Believe me I know. One of our traditions is to be called by your middle name. But I don’t like that. I named my son Oscar for a reason ya know? If I wanted him to be called a different name then I would say so. I get it.

@bj1605, I don’t have anything against it honestly. It’s just my personal choice. I hate putting him through pain, if he didn’t need shots, I wouldn’t give it to him for example. But I want to protect him from anything in my control so I allow it. But circumcision just looks painful and my friend’s son got one and somehow the doctors screwed it up. So I’d rather not put him through pain or chance them messing the circumcision up. It really doesn’t matter if they are circumcised or not. As long as you keep it clean then boys will be fine with whichever ya know?
