By law can someone kick you out your house without a 30 day notice? We don’t have a contract. But threats are being made

We never had a contract and we couldnt kick out someone from our house we had to go through court

@superchilledmom Yeah, I've always heard that if you have your mail going to that address they have to give you at least 30 days by law to vacant the premises.

@leroydoom, yea exactly... my mom was going to change the locks and they told her not to because she was going to get in trouble if she did

Depending where you are they can’t kick you out. My ex mother in law rented a room out w no contract, the lady wasn’t paying so she was gonna kick her out but the lady went to court and they gave her 6 months to leave & she didn’t have to pay any rent

if there's no rental agreement they can just evict you, yes.

@bunny713 Then they have to go thru the whole eviction process, he can't just throw you out on the street, sounds like he's just trying to scare you.

The same thing that @claudia0786, said happened to my mom... there was no contract and they still had to go to court

@superchilledmom, everything I own is her I drive one of his cars and all my mail and even my current check is in there.

@claudia0786, I told him that he said since his dad is the “maintenance man” he’ll tell the cops that I don’t live her and he’ll have my stuff outside when I get off of work 😂 like I know the laws stupid

If you’ve established residency (your belongings are there, you receive mail) you don’t have to leave unless a judge orders you to.
