Chicken pasta bake tonight. What meals does everybody else do? Running out of ideas without having…

I'm a big sucker for a rice dish.

I do a nice chicken and chorizo paella, also chicken fried rice is an easy one. but when im lazy I just brown off some chicken then chuck rice in frozen veg and let it cook down in chicken stock and turmeric till all liquids gone 👌

Chilli and rice, spaghetti Bolognese, spaghetti and meatballs, Cajun pasta and peas, spicy pork loin with crispy potatoes and rice, sausage and mash, jambalaya, fajitas wraps.

Sausage casserole, pork loins in gravey, chicken curry, Piella, fajitas, cottage pie, spag bol, lasagne. Jacket pots with salad, sausage chips and beans

I’m just tired of the same stuff! We’re either eating-

Paprika chicken and boiled rice

Lasagne

Chicken curry

Cottage pie

Bolognese

Pasta bake

Sausage and mash

And it gets so damn boring 🙄 @beffgoude, @bonnieb, @rachaellw, ooh you’ve all just given me some new ideas! Thanks guys. I did tried Cajun chicken the other week but my god my taste buds couldn’t handle the fire 😂 so spice is a no go 🙅

@beffgoude, btw wtf is paella?! I wanna cook these different meals but I’m always cooking standard British dinners 😂

And paella is just a giant rice dish from Spain. Normally done with seafood, but no one in my house would entertain seafood haha

it’s lush!!!! We love this in our house. Although my partner gets abut frustrated as I’m allergic to seafood so we just have the meat one

@beffgoude, aww bless him 😂 see I love the idea of ‘non typical dinners’ like that but I can never think of any@rachaellw, ! Yeah I most definitely wouldn’t be doing a seafood one that’s for sure 🤢

@jo.wilcox, If you go to Asda they do a sachet in the paella flavouring. We use it as it’s really tasty. And gives your the instructions on the back x

@zoebennion25, I like stir fry, but I basically only like the rice and meat Cos I’m a right vegophobe 😂 love my fruit but most veg- get that outta my face 👋😂

I love making home made meals. One of my favourites is mince with onion mushroom and carrots cook them in frying pan then add water with gusto granules and few favouring if you have them like oregano basil and parsley then make mash at the side and just cook it till it's thick. It's basically a shepards pie but separate it's sooo good x but I do loads in slow cooker pork joint, beef joints, beef stew, chicken stir fry they do not meals at Aldi xxx

You should go to Aldi look at the meat sections they do loads of meal kits and ideas xxx

@chloemcmahon96, I always do it side by side like that if I’m too lazy to stick it in a dish for cottage pie!! 😂😂 I Say all the time ‘ shall we just have mince n mash I cba tonight’ 😂 but yeah, homemade meals are way better. I make home meals every night, charlie eats them so much better than freezer crap too. Very rarely does he have fish fingers or dippers etc. I’ve got a slow cooker, haven’t used it yet though, would a stew work in there but with minced meat instead of diced beef 🙈 can’t get to th shop for anything else until Monday x

@jo.wilcox yeah mince meat will be fine you can put anything in the slow cooker it's amazing I love it pork stew beef stew even joints of meat and mince meat go in it and when daisy gets old she won't be having waffles and fish finger she'll be having what we have prope home made meal and to be honest they don't take that long either and if you use the slow cooker it's ready to just serve xx

@chloemcmahon96, that’s tomorrow’s dinner sorted then 😂 I’ve literally never used my slow cooker before, what setting do you need it on for a stew? Yeah it’s easier if they just eat what you eat, saves cooking a million different meals at different times of the day! Charlie occasionally has fries in the oven out of the freezer but that’s about it. I’ve noticed when eats processed rubbish he doesn’t eat much, whereas home made meals he finishes the lot off!
