What does he think qualifies someone as a father? All he needs to be is mature, helpful and lend a hand. I understand being scared but using that as an excuse is ridiculous. He was qualified for the sex that led to the baby.

Sit down and have a talk with him face to face. When you look at him you'll see the bullshit easier and be able to pull out the truth because that qualified shit was bullshit.

@coffee_is_the_new_black, yeah he told me he was scared and yeah that is true! I’m going to have a second baby and I’m so scared but he doesn’t know that.

@bearaboo4 so I really need you to sit with him and say just that. Let him know he is not alone. Like you said even when its planned perfectly every parent is scared shitless that is the point of becoming a parent. He's helped with the first child but, this one makes it real. This is a life that is a piece of him coming into the world. Tell him instead of putting up a wall to share those fears. My doctor said if you can't talk you should both write the fears in a book and discuss them from there.

@bearaboo4 I hope that talking it out even if it needs to be written on paper to get the thoughts together first helps. I think it will. When you write it out its harder to say things you don't necessarily mean like the unqualified comment. We now know thats not what he meant but thats the word that popped into his head.
