Did anyone have strep b in their pregnancy? May I please hear your story? Thank you! Xx

I had it, was told when you go into labour to go straight in so they can get you straight on antibiotics atleast 4 hours before giving birth just to make sure baby gets them, it can come and go but they like to make sure youre covered xxx

@jaylauren1714 did they give you antibiotics to take during pregnancy as well? I've been given some today and that's a course for a week, but I'm already due in a week... Could go into labour tonight :/ so scary! I wish I didn't read the internet... Did your waters break after your labour has started? Did you have a vaginal delivery? Did they need to give your daughter antibiotics once she was born? Did they do a test on her? How long did they monitor her? Sorry, lots of questions!

@kate_smith They found it early on in my pregnancy but didn't give me anything, id defiantly say do not read the internet because it fills your head with so much, i had a really prem labour, so i went into labour at 23+4 weeks, but yeah my waters went after my labour started but because it was my first and i was so early i didnt realise i was in labour, as soon as i got in the delivery room i was on antibiotics through a drip, i think i had just managed to get them in 4 hours before she was born. I did have a vaginal delivery and yeah she had have antibiotics as soon as they got her to neonatal, i dont think they tested her because they had more higher priority things to do with her, its a bit of a different story as to what youll have, after your baby is born 😊 This whole strep b thing is so scary! X

@jaylauren1714 I know... Stats are on our side, most babies are perfectly fine, but still, those that get it - my God!

I didn't realize it was a drip, I though they did an injection every 4 hours!

How is she now? Fully recovered? Xx

@kate_smith No i was straight on a drip so they try and steer away from water births, and no unfortunately she passed away 2 days later, but nothing to do with strep b or infection, she was just to small xx

У меня тоже был. И у двух подруг. Мой гинеколог сказал что это частое явление, не стоит волноватся - когда начались роды мне поставили антибиотик. Если честно не помню давали ли детям или нет.
