Ok so I'm looking for sneakers for my son. I don't really want to spend $45+ dollars on shoes... But I guess I
Would cause my son will be walking soon and I want him to have good walking shoes. My only thing with stride rites is that the boots I have for him now are So fricking hard to get on him! I literally have to pound them on his foot lol. Need a baby shoe horn. Please tell me they are not all like this.
Stride rite sneakers aren't. Try kohls, hit a sale and coupon. I got my daughter nikes on clearance for $20 after everything and stride rites for $21.5.
@missjess, You could always ask his therapist if there’s a show brand they recommend. I know with stride rite there’s always a trick to putting them on, depending on the shoe. My mom takes J to get his feet sized and fitted, at her dime, so he gets those, but I just got him a pair of light up Cars 3 sneakers from Payless that are his favorite (and he’s obsessed with shoes)!!
@kristenmarie, I hope so too! He's getting therapy twice a week for a a half hour and he's already standing a little on his own so he's making progress! 🤗
@lp1988727, girl I have to buy him a Easter outfit and spring clothes yet! I feel
Like I just finished buying him winter clothes.. Now I have to buy him spring and summer lol. Never ending. I'm waiting a little though cause with Christmas I bought his clothes early and by Christmas time they didn't fit. ☹️
@missjess, hopefully they help little guy with walking😊
@girlmom., right! I spent 50$ on these stride rite boots he has I got them in January. They are super cute but They are so hard to get on him. His dad never puts his shoes on him and it's like why should I spend so much when he barely where's them and I can get two pairs of sneakers for that price.
@missjess, personally I didn’t spend the extra getting them “name brand” stuff cause like @kristenmarie, said he’ll wear them 2 months tops
@missjess, personally, I wouldn’t spend the money because he’ll only wear them a bit and then they’ll be thrown into storage or something. But in the end it’s completely up to you!
@girlmom., lol that's what I just said ^ like maybe it will help but maybe I'm just wasting my money. Maybe I'll just get him the cheaper carters shoes then instead and then have extra money to get him clothes or food lol
@kristenmarie, I just worry a little cause he's a late bloomer and isn't walking yet and is almost 18 months old. He is having physical therapy to get him where he needs to be. So I figured some nice good shoes could help? Or maybe they won't make a difference and I waste my money lol
I totally understand about this! My daughter didn’t walk till 17 months. I spend the money and stride rite, it didn’t help. Went to Payless and got a her tennis shoes! Since my girls are older, I do spend the money and get them nikes now.
@missjess, honestly, I never put my son in special shoes for when he started walking. Nobody ever told me you had to. And now he walks and runs with confidence
@girlmom., not recently I haven't. My mom and grandma have said stride rite are the best first shoes to have. They are pricey though. But he's already a late bloomer in walking so I would prefer a good sturdy shoe for him for balance and everything. I have some carters shoes but they are a little big so I have to find something else in the mean time.
I get most of my sons shoes from Payless, they’re at a good price and they’re all super cute!
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
Ok, so my friend is wanting to get pregnant but..... Her fiancé does not want kids, at lease for another 3-5 years he said... so she came up with the idea to have me pee on a stick for her and show it to him so that he’ll be comfortable with not wearing a condom and finishing in her.. basically the whole idea is to make him think she’s pregnant already...... so I do this favor for her or should I tell my girl to chill?
He and my husband are friends through us and he’s going to invite him over...
Take your freaking shoes off!!!!!!
Why do people think its ok to walk on someone else's light colored carpet with their shoes on, and then give you a death glare when you tell them to remove their shoes. It's my house, you want to walk around in it...you will do so without your shoes on! It's not that much to ask, and also doesn't require a whole bunch of attitude either.
My 5 year old brother just got circumcised due to all the infections he kept on getting & seeing him in so much pain not being able to walk makes me glad I got my son circumcised as a newborn & planning on doing the same with my second baby.
@itsamemario, you deleted your post before I could hit send but this is my comment: I don’t know if this answers your question but this is my answer.
My son is 7 and he knows race and color. Why? Because he himself comes from a family that is multi racial and because he has already experienced racism. I also believe as his mother it’s my job to teach him color and the cold hard truth about society. He knows what’s going on in this world. I’d be hurting him if I allowed him to blindly walk out...
Remember shoes are important and if you have good support for the ankles baby will not develop flat foot .. my daughter has that and suffers from back pain
