@winterbaby95, well first of all- good luck with it 😂 I just literally decided to do it one night. Took him up as usual, have him his milk, kiss him goodnight ‘goodnight charlie’ and come down stairs. He’d finish his milk then scream, I’d shout up once (never went into him) okay Charlie, it’s bed time now I love you. He’d scream it out and eventually crash. Scream time got shorter each night. BUT he got smart lol, after a few nights he knew what I was doing, so I’d give him his milk, and he refuse to take it and kick up a stink. So if stay in the room while he drank his milk (would sit at the opposite end of the room and not talk to him) wait for him to finish, say goodnight and come down. Same again, he’d scream it out then crash and each night the time got less and less until it just got to the point where he now knows it means go to sleep. It’s about making them know that no matter how much they scream you’re not gonna give into them. They’re not crying Cos they’re sad, they are crying Cos they’re pissed off that you’re not caving and pandering to them! Just stick it out, I felt awful and cried the first night lol, but you’ll get there and it’s so worth it! (Ps sorry for the essay) x

@jo.wilcox Awe thats great, thank you hun :) only problem..Maya will get out of bed and come to me lol...unless i get a stair gate for her bedroom 🤔🤔🤔 First thing though..i need her to stop breast feeding x

@winterbaby95, oh damn I forget she’s probably in a proper bed now! Yeh Charlie still being in a cot did make it slightly easier Cos he can’t escape 😂 definitely get a stair gate for her room. Aww it’ll be hard to stop breastfeeding, you could always slowly wean her off before you try self soothing. Would be hard to eliminate breastfeeding and self soothing all in one go, I’ve got no tips on that one though 🙈 x

@jo.wilcox I'm trying marmite on my nipples...worked once before but felt like a.mean mummy lol...but she was a lot younger back then. But shes over 2...its time she stopped :) xx

@winterbaby95, oh god I’m sorry but that made me laugh 😂😂 I can just imagine the look of disgust lmao. I mean it’s one of those things that is personal choice, you’ve done great to keep it up for 2 years! You’ll be your own worse enemy, it’ll be hard but so long as you stick at it it’ll work out, after all it’s only you that can give in! The upside to her being older is she’s more understanding, so could be rewarded. The downside is she’s older and can protest a hell of a lot more lol. Good luck though, you’ll be fine! Xx

@jo.wilcox Thank you hun! 😂😂🤣 Yeah she wasnt impressed back then.and hid/ran away from me lol....I had to wash my nipples and shoe.her.it was gone before she came near me.again..even then she was still.cautious when it came to latching on 😂😂😂🤔🤔 I felt so mean..Probably will this time...ive tried everything...she cries etc and I hate that so im going to have to try the marmite again...I trier plasters on my nipples and she just pulled them off lol xx
