The study found that eating dates during the last month of pregnancy had at least the following beneficial effects:
Cervical dilation of the date-eaters upon admission to the hospital was higher than that of the control group.
Spontaneous labor occurred more frequently in the date-eating group than in the control group.
Women who ate dates had a lower chance of needing prostin or oxytocin during labor. These hormones are used to induce labor.
The first stage of labor for the date-eaters was also significantly shorter than the non-date-eaters.
@motherof3nigerianprincesses, lol yeah I’m allergic to almost everything though so it’s no surprise
I always try to eat dates when pregnant and after but just realized that I’m allergic to them and it’s not going away. Lol
@muslimomx3 also in September the largest Islamic convention is going to be in Houston!! I'm so excited!
@muslimomx3 I need some recipes to cook with them
@muslimomx3 and who know with all the health benefits! I guess he knew lol

@motherof3nigerianprincesses, no I got it at Academy, I didn’t even know wal mart had them 😒
@girlmom. Did you get from Walmart they were on sale for $8. I started using the foot pump with my hands and was like forget this 😂
@motherof3nigerianprincesses, don’t have one of those 😒 but the ball came with a foot pump but I can’t pump it that long 😂
@girlmom. I used a mattress air pump lol
@girlmom. Oh I already started that!
@girlmom. Lol me too. Ive eaten two dates for today. Next week I'll start doing 3 a day then at 34 weeks I'm going to 6 a day. I want her here at 38 weeks
@motherof3nigerianprincesses, yeah pretty sure. But only she knows when she’s ready but I’m going to do everything to not have a hard labor 😁
@girlmom. So around like 36-37 weeks you think you'll have her
April 25th but I’m pretty sure I’m not going to be it. My doc thinks I’ll only make it till 37 weeks. So he wants my cervix ready for she doesn’t go into distress
@girlmom. Ooh I forgot you're getting induced 😱 what date?
@motherof3nigerianprincesses, don’t have to worry about high blood pressure as I have low blood pressure 😒
@girlmom. They also have fiber and helps lower your chance of preeclampsia
@motherof3nigerianprincesses, I have 2 weeks till my last month 😳 I’m also going to do the evening primrose oil, bounce on a ball, and of course lots of sex
@girlmom. It says to eat six a day! And there's research behind it and I know women that actually says it works
@motherof3nigerianprincesses, I’ll have to remember this! I want to do everything possible to have a smoother labor.
@girlmom. Mmmm its hard to explain. They are sweet
My daughter is almost 3 and only 23 pounds smh. She doesn’t eat meat or anything. She only eats pasta and fries which is too much starch. Anyone ever had a picky eater?

Of course this is an extreme case of “picky eater” but on a smaller scale, kids shouldn’t be “picky” eaters. I have never and will never make 2 meals for my sons. They have a well balanced meals and will learn to eat everything regardless of the texture, I’m not raising a “picky” eater

How long you had your labor?😶
I had 3 hours of labor before this adorable baby boy came out.😍
Share me your labor experience!👌🏻

My due date is in less than a week & still no signs of labor 😕
@naylaa I wouldn't know what I'd do if I was allergic to everything 😐
