I didn't know BD had to be there to sign the birth certificate 👍🤦♀️ since he isn't around looks like I don't have another choice other than to not put him on there 😕 I hope my baby girl understands that mommy loves her for both of us .. my heart hurts for her 💔

Where I live you can still have him sign the acknowledgement of paternity form at a later date and just mail it in after the fact. I know it's not the same thing, but if he comes back around at some point he can still be put on it.
