How can I clean my pack n play mat without ruining the boards in it? I want it clean before I go home. No bleach because it's pink.

Clorox wipes? There is no bleach in Clorox wipes, fyi. So it will not ruin colors. I used them to clean my stroller and pack n play before.

I would usually just wipe it down with soap and water, and just make sure to wipe all the soap off.

Sometimes I'd use the lysol cleaning spray if it was really bad, but I didn't like that often because it always seemed to smell like lysol no matter how much I wiped it afterward.

@nomli I'll try soap and water, it has spots on it from when someone kept my son and we had my daughter. And I just really want it clean

@kyntonsmommy, I can't stand when it's dirty. The mat for his is white, so even the smallest spot drives me crazy.

do you... Clean up after your SO is done cooking? Or vice versa? DF was cooking and while he was cooking I unloaded the dish washer and hand washed the pot he had used and put dishes in the dish washer, so by the time he got his plate, dishes were done and left overs were in Tupperware on the counter just in case anyone wanted seconds and counters were wiped down. The room mate asked me why I do that, and I just say that's how I was raised. I always clean up after anyone cooks in the house, even after myself. I clean as I cook, so DF doesn't clean up because it's done before dinner is finished lol. But there's rare occasions where he'd be in the kitchen while I cook so he does help out with the cleaning since i cook during the day sometimes so we can heat it up when it's dinner time. I want everyone to get their first and seconds before I eat. My mom has taught me to always clean up after your spouse makes dinner, it's only fair. They put their effort into cooking, you should always help them out.

Clean house vs playing with your kids

Clean house vs playing with your kids This is always a fun one. I often hear the excuse of "I would rather play with my kids then have a spotless house" as a reason for not having a clean house (and I don't mean clutter...I mean actually dirty). Personally I think that's a load of crap. I have quite a few kids who are disgusting pigs....but my house is always company ready and I don't spend all day cleaning in order to keep it looking nice and presentable. Granted I do have indentured servants in the form of children and a husband but even when my kids were babies it was never a difficult thing to accomplish. I spend roughly 1 hour a day cleaning and use the Motivated Moms app (which is awesome) and so have plenty of time to spend with my kids AND have a clean house. So, what's your opinion? Is it really 1 or the other? Or are people making excuses to justify their mess?
