A lot of hospitals don't allow a full water birth because they aren't properly trained to handle that kind of birth because it's not exactly approved... you can labor but you can't deliver in the water. I wanted one with my son and my doctor was going to let me go all the way if he could but when I got to the point where I was ready to get into the tub, the night nurse I had refused to get the tub and said I couldn't do it and made up a bullshit excuse. Eventually I ended up getting the epidural because the pain got intense and the tub was apparently out of the question

I haven't had one before but my doctor told me you sit in the tub till baby starts coming like the "crowning" Of the head and then you have to either stand up or sit back in the bed to finish so I'm not going with it my luck I'll fall some how and my baby will pop out sliding across the bathroom floor
