My dr considers 37 weeks full term & says that the baby is ok to come anytime after 37 weeks so I’m listening to her 🤷🏼…

Mine says 39 weeks is full term. 🤷🏼‍♀️

@mommytotheo, My specific hospital told me they couldn’t induce earlier than 39 weeks. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I have no idea.

@theinkedmommy I saw where you said inductions in your state are illegal before 39 weeks but I'm 99% sure we live in the same state and I was induced at 37+6 the rules might have changed. @kaela3. My Dr also considered 37 weeks full term on all my sons hospital papers it says full term had him at 37+6

@nerdymommyplus2, see we had no idea he was going to come early. I had no prior contractions till the day i had him. Lost my mucus plug water broke and contractions and had him all in 8 hours span

@fasciamom, thank you! Even tho I’m uncomfortable i want him to make it to 37 weeks since my first didn’t! But after that we’re going on walks and all the good stuff to get things going 😂🤷🏼‍♀️ even tho i know it’s whenever your body is ready you’ll go into labor but doesn’t hurt to exercise and help! I started walking at 35 weeks with my first and had him at 36 weeks & 5 days

Hope he’s not like 9 lbs if he goes to 40 weeks lol ! I’ll be terrified ! I go for my ultrasound next week and they’ll estimate his weight so we’ll see . I know it’s not really 100% accurate

@nerdymommyplus2, ok, i mean I’m not complaining some babies that were born at my sons gestation prolly would have to be in the nicu for a few days but he didn’t have to be luckily. Even the ultrasound tech told me he looks like a big baby. My boyfriend is over 6 foot so they get it from their father

@nerdymommyplus2, for my body and height yes they are. The dr that delivered him only predicted he’d be 5 lbs by the size of my stomach.

my daughter came at 37 weeks and she was healthy

@kaela3, My husband & I were both 37 weekers too but we were 5 lbs too, so I wasn’t surprised when she was tiny. Can’t fit a cow into a chicken!

Just cuz you had him early doesn't mean anything. It just means he was ready at that moment. And some doctors have their opinion but the The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists' Committee on Obstetric Practice, says different.

@kaela3, She kept measuring 3 weeks behind my entire pregnancy, so I was terrified of her coming early because I believe at 37/38 weeks I was 3 cm dilated & 80% effaced. She was born 39 weeks 1 day at 5 lbs 10.5 oz

@theinkedmommy, oh wow! My son didn’t have nicu time he was 6 lbs 11 oz and we went home at the normal time 😊

@kaela3, They had to induce me medically but couldn’t until 39 weeks. They said my state won’t even allow inductions until 39 weeks. I was just happy I got to 39 weeks, because she likely would’ve been in the NICU if she would’ve come on her own. 😫
