Regardless, he should've been able go get the help he needs. My mother has mental issues and without the correct medication and help she needs she lashes out. She had to go to the hospital one night because she stopped taking her medication and didn't tell anyone and we didn't catch it until she lashed out on her OWN family at 3 am. My heart breaks for all the families who go through losing a child like this, but I'm torn because ive seen first hand what mental illness can do to someone's head. My mother doesn't remember lashing out on us, or going to the hospital she didn't believe us when told her what she did the doctor had to explain everything. Im NOT making excuses for his actions I'm just saying there is nothing we can do now to change it now so why still go on and on about it? Let the courts do their jobs and the families grieve. As a mother if my son did this I wouldn't want him to die, I would want him to stay in prison where he can get the help he needs, clearly he will never get out.

@tiff.momma.love, exactly. What happened to “do the crime do the time?” 2, 12, 19 or 50 years old, if you murder 17 ppl serve the time a murderer of 17 ppl would serve. I kinda doubt the mentally ill thing too much either. Is he mental? Yes. But not so much that he wasn’t smart enough to plan this whole thing and get away with it. 😡😡😡

I also know this plays a big role with Race.. I believe from many tragic events that has happen that “white Americans majority of the time are set either free or given less time” compared to “African Americans” and that’s a fact.. this world is gross and Jesus is coming soon idc.. things will only get worse. @jmilanes3, I still don’t think that’s a good enough reason to shoot someone. The problem is that if they knew he was like that they should’ve helped him not wait till he does something, to say what he has.

@jmilanes3, I don’t know why the death penalty hasn’t been abolished. But I don’t think he should be allowed back out of prison. 17 young lives, you made your choice.

You are right as mother you will always want to defend your child but when your child takes the lives of 17 peers....

But the bottom line is the gun laws need to be fixed. Why people need to live with guns is beyond me and why they can be bought so causally is even more strange. I have no idea of where to buy a gun in London non whatsoever!

There were young people on the news saying he was a mess since middle school. The dude was a ticking time bomb and they ignored him until he ran into a school and terrorised and murdered in cold blood. It wasn’t a spur of the moment incident it was planned that is not a mental illness case the boy is a cold blooded murderer!!!

There using all these terms to feel sorry for him I don't believe he had autism or mental illness I'm sorry Everytime a shooting happened all these people had something wrong with them until they are caught then they are sorry you should of been sorry for even thinking of picking up a gun and shooting it smh
