It sped mine up. It helped me relax which helped me dilate. Before it i wasn’t dilating, then after i got it i was able to relax & my labor went quicker
@kitchenmichelle6 I had the epidural and was in labor for 18 hours and it took me 4 hours to push my baby out so it was harder on me but it was worth it because I don’t tolerate pain very well

It can but not always. It slowed mine down the second time but didn't the first time.

I was in labor for 8 hours . I got the epi @11pm@ 3cm had baby at 7am

@kitchenmichelle6 I waited till I couldn't handle the labor pains and I had Elisha 3 hours later.

It only makes it longer cause you can't assist with the contractions and help push. So it honestly just depends. Every mom is different
