My husband is honestly so unhappy in the military and it breaks my heart in pieces because I can't do anything about it😔 I love him so much and I'm so proud of him. I just want him to feel fulfilled

@owenjacesmama, I separated from my husband for 6 months because of his disrespect. It took a lot of patience and time but he became a better man and we're stronger than ever. I'd try separating under good terms and being kind to one another before fully making the decision for a divorce.

@owenjacesmama, i wouldn't tolerate that. You shouldn't allow anyone to call you out of your name. I would definitely have a talk with him about that kind of disrespect.

@shawtypop yeah I don't get any of that. I get called a hoe & whore & bad mother for working 9 hrs a day with 8 other males who don't wanna do any manual labor.

So I left him a really encouraging and loving message for him to get off his shift to see this morning. It was long but i basically told him I believe in him and to keep grinding and that it won't be like this forever. He messaged back saying he really needed to hear that and that it made him feel a lot better. I guess sometimes they just need to know they're appreciated and be reminded of what their goals are🤷🏽‍♀️ I'm glad I was able to help him feel better. I hope he has a better day today.

I understand how he feel.. I loved serving but the shit u deal with just gets old and u start getting miserable. I do miss being in the military but I’m so much happier now that I’m not in anymore.

@shawtypop, a lot of them go through this! My husband has the same issue. Sometimes it’s the stress and being away from you guys that bothers him also. On top of all the work stuff could put him in a bad head space. Maybe planning something for when he comes back. A family weekend to help detox him from the ship lol

@amouryaya09, maybe, he has his friends n stuff but he's not one to open up to people at all. He gets back from sea in march then goes to deploy in April, so I'm hoping when he comes home I can help him feel happier, remind him why he's doing what he's doing. He's just ina bad rut rn I guess:/

@shawtypop, I have a friend who is navy and he’s the same way! I’m not sure how to help since he has to be on the ship but has he thought of another branch of service? I know with re-enlisting it won’t put him on the line to deploy again but seeing if he’s open to the idea can’t hurt. Does he have anyone else that he could talk to about? If he finds someone he feels the same way maybe they help getting him out of that funk.

@amouryaya09, all I do is pray and pray and pray that God will be by his side and help him feel happy and take away his negative thoughts, that's all I can do. It makes me cry no lie... he's the most amazing man I know and to hear that he feels miserable in his career makes me wanna just take his place for him... but I can't

I’m dealing with someone in the military as well. It’s. It hard and through all the hardships, we have to remain still and support our men. Make him feel like best hero ever as I’m sure you have already. Us, as women have a calm about us that men can never have just keep pushing him day in and day out. We got this☺️☺️

@amouryaya09, problem is he's reenlisting when this contract is up. (Feb 2019) We have another baby on the way and I'm not done with school so if he gets out when his contract is up we would be in a bad situation financially and would really be struggling to make ends meet. This is his last deployment though, so when he reenlists he won't ever have to deploy again because he will be on shore duty. But it's only when he's at sea that he gets like this. He's so negative. It's the worst feeling in the world to feel so helpless. I tell him that I'm proud of him and how everyone looks up to him. I tell him that if it wasn't for the navy our son wouldn't exist and neither would our little girl, I tell him that this will make his life go smoother once he's out and give him a huge advantage. Nothing works, he just hates being on that damn ship. When he's home he's so happy, he has no negativity about it, it's just when he's at sea he's like this. I don't wanna dismiss his feelings because it takes a lot for him to open up, but I also don't want him to be so negative about things. Idk what to do.

@shawtypop, do you guys have a plan b? When is his contract up? If he’s feeling like he wants to get I would tell him to set up a plan for the outside. Figure what career field will fulfill his needs.

@amouryaya09, he's over the entire thing. Nothing I say or suggests works. He just hates it. It breaks my heart. I want him to be happy

Is it his job or he’s just over the whole thing? My husband gets like that when work gets stressful. I always suggest for him to cross train to find something that will make him happier.

I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
