I don't know how many times I've seen this on here but I would really like to make it clear that it takes about 5 or more weeks of being pregnant before you actually know you're pregnant...
Ultrasounds are estimates....
Most accurate is going by your last period (the day you start, not end) most people don't find out until at least 4 weeks. The pregnancy hormone is there but it's still not even an embryo yet. If you were given an ultrasound they would just see the gestational sac. (Personally my OB didn't do ultrasound until 8- 12 weeks )
I got a positive home test at 3 weeks and a positive blood test at 3 weeks 4 days. I also used to have 15 day cycles.
@mommaofjais When I went to the ob they told me themselves that I was a week further along then they had originally said. I've already had my parents try and tell me that I was 7 months pregnant when I was only 7 weeks. I don't need you to tell me when I found out I was pregnant and try and argue with me about how far along I am and when my due date is or is not. It's not your job. Quit trying to make it that way.
4 weeks... some people are in tune with their bodies, they can feel something different, especially if they’ve had kids before, that’s what my doctor told me. Besides is it really such a big deal? What some someone say to other women to feel superior always astounds me.
@bay_73, girl, we have the same due date and found out the same day. You were 4 weeks. If you were a week ahead your due date would not be July 20th.
November 13-July 20th equals 35 weeks and 4 days
So you were 4 weeks and 3 days when you found out. Like I said, simple math!
We were a week further along then we thought. So no I was 5 weeks when I found out... @mommaofjais
I got a positive home test at 3 weeks and Dr confirmed it at 4 weeks. So it is possible to know before five weeks. Woman have different experiences
I found out I was pregnant at 1-2 weeks from my doctor ... I didn’t have any symptoms just asked my doc to do a test at a visit
Not true you should already know when you miss you period either you come on around the first of the month or the end of the month its a sad case when a female don't know her own body if you didn't come on that month that mean your pregnant or just have other health issues but I'm pregnant on my 3rd child and I knew when I miss my period something wasn't right o took plenty of pregnancy tests they came back negative but my body was changing like I couldn't take the smell of smoke or I felt sick I knew then I was pregnant plus my body was different with my other two but I knew I was pregnant every time
I was sure of being pregnant 10 days after ovulation, my body felt different. I went to ER because of lower back pain, and ultrasound didn’t show anything, not even the sac, but hcg was 200, doctor told me I was around a week. Then every body is different.
Lol I be saying the same thing to myself. It be tripping me out when I see girls on here talking about their 2 or 3 weeks pregnant.

Doesn’t matter. If you have a positive on Nov 13 and your due date is July 20th, you found out at 4 weeks. Simple Math.
@bay_73, that doesn’t makes sense to me...lol you could measure further along or not as far as you actually are on ultrasounds.
Yeah and for me the home tests don't matter as much as the confirmation from an actual doctor. @mommaofjais
Your ob won't give you an ultra sound until your first or second appointment. They won't bring you in until at least 6 weeks. Because they won't be able to see the baby on an ultrasound. If you don't like what I have to say then you don't need to be here. I already said multiple times that I don't care when other people found out. It's a FACT based on when I found out myself I never said that this is how everyone else's pregnancy will good when everyone else will find out themselves either. @jleona
Also, I want to add, and correct me if I’m wrong but You have the same due date I had last year (July 20). You posted a positive test on Nov 13 which is exactly the day I found out and I was 4 weeks along so you have found out before 5 weeks.
Girl, do you know the difference between fact and opinion?? Stating something you experienced as FACT when other women are proof that what you are saying is false makes what you said an OPINION. And in that case you should have stated it differently instead of saying you are "making it clear".
I can if I've never found out before 5 weeks. I don't care when everyone else found out. Technically I can state whatever opinion I want as a fact because it's my experience. It doesn't have to be everyone else's. @lana2018
@lana2018 @bay_73 Exactly. Dnt get upset that ppl are correcting you when you stated it as a known fact and not just an opinion. Maybe for you it was after 5 weeks, but many of us and other women on the planet found out before or right after they missed their period ... which is before 5 weeks 🤷♀️
U posted so EVERYONE can see..so of course your gonna get other people opinions..lol don't get mad cause you don't know what your talking about @bay_73
And if you're not then you won't know until you miss your period. As I just said I don't really care about other people's opinions. This is mine. @danny_pooh
Unless they tell you the wrong date which so many people have gotten. Other than that I'm not stupid people everyone has a second opinion. I'm not looking for the week that everyone else found out. I don't care about that.
Well obviously you can’t know you’re pregnant when you’re 1 week but technically, since drs base the weeks off of your LMP, you’d be 2 weeks or so when you find out but they’ll say your about 4 weeks since they can’t pin point when conception actually happened.
I just saw today that someone said they were 1 week @morgan.elizabeth2018
Yeah but either way it's still longer than 1-2 weeks. That's basically the week after their ovulation period. You don't just ovulate and then automatically become pregnant after that. It takes a little bit of time. @morgan.elizabeth2018
I’m guessing you mean those who say they’re 1-2 weeks. I’m assuming those people just don’t understand how the dating goes for getting pregnant most of the time. I found out at 5 weeks and it would’ve been 4 if I hadn’t waited until my period was a week late to test 🤷🏻♀️
Not that you can see it on a pregnancy test until then...you can have a feeling about it but you still don't know for sure until you actually see the positive result.
Not true I found out at 3 weeks with all mine but oldest was 7 weeks.
Not true! I knew very early with all 3 of my pregnancies
U posted so EVERYONE can see..so of course your gonna get other people opinions..lol don't get mad cause you don't know what your talking about @bay_73
