After 4 months of trying to best to help my son's flat head with re-positioning his head, tummy time, his chair. I felt I did the best I could and I made the call to consult a specialist for further help!! I trusted my pediatrician for a little to long, and she assured me tummy time and his little chair would fix the problem, not the case..it did get slight better but not a major change after 4 months. when I would ask about his head she just brushed it off and said it's looking better. Well here we are he's 6 months and his right side is still a little flat and his head is asymmetrical. Everyone except my mother thought I was being over dramatic and xtra.. including my boyfriend! They all said his head was fine and I was exaggerating, well evaluation was today and lo and behold his head is asymmetrical/a little flat (moderate not severe)and will need a band. Aka: baby helmet for the next 2 to 3 months for 23hrs a day to correct his head. I'm glad I trusted my instincts and asked a fellow mother who's babies also had flat head syndrome, mama or mama's to be.. always trust your instincts and never let anyone make it seem like your crazy!! My son is getting the help he needs to fix his melon and I couldn't be more happy. And for those who thought I was being dramatic and xtra #suckit #mamaknowsbest
