@jerryjrmommy, I understand, seems like you are having parenting conflicts with your family members. I don’t see it as complaining at all. It’s hard work being a parent, especially a mom! Potty training is hard as well, what ways have you tried to train him? Im have difficulties trying to potty train my son as well. Someone mentioned to me the Cheerio method so I’ll try that in the next 2 weeks or so. Hang in there mama!
@withlovedkj I think it's just hard I'm only 23 and he's almost 3 and we just don't see eye to eye the little fights fits and picky eating the talking back he doesn't go to sleep when I say it will be two hours later some people think he's my brother because I look younger then my age I think I get more depressed then anything now I'm try to potty train him but that's not going to good I can't get him to drink water, maybe I'm just complaining but its really hard for me right now while his dad works and not to mention I always had people in my ear telling me how to raise him and discipline him but I don't like there way at all I'm still learning but sometimes I like help but really I don't I loved the newborn stage but the toddler stage is kinda hard
They judge because i had her at 16 3 months ago and now im 17 and pregnant again
@jaylinntackaberry, It’s natural for people to judge but don’t let that stop you from being a great mother and accomplishing your goals. Because of your age, you may have barriers to overcome so I think they just want you to know that. I don’t think there’s ever the “perfect time” to have kids because something will always come up but I do think being better prepared helps with relieving stress and setbacks (finish school, are working, having own Home, etc.)
@jerryjrmommy, Can you tell me about your experience?
@jaylinntackaberry, They are very active during this time and constantly exploring . Touching everything, throwing things, tries to take control of things that doesn’t belong to them (tablets, phones, music). Refusing food that they don’t recognize. They whine more and want to be more independent but get easily frustrated. You may be lucky if he or she still takes a nap. My son went from taking 2 long naps to maybe a 30 minute nap (or no nap) which means no break for the parents. It can be super stressful even when you have help. You have to have lots of patience. They have no sense of time so when it’s time to get dressed in the morning, they sometimes want to play. They have energy ALL THE TIME! Everyone’s experience may not be like mine but I sure do question if I even want another child close in age. Much love to the ones that can balance it. Good luck!
@withlovedkj Thank you mama and okay and I've tried having him to wear underwear all day and pull ups at night but it seem like that doesn't work either because he will still urine in the underwear like 10 minutes after i take him off he knows to sitting on the toilet now using his little steps and he's always pulling the pampers off so I know he's ready are that as it seems I really haven't tried anything else and my step sister also told me about the cheerio method too but I said how jr is he may try to grab it out are something it's hard because his dad works all the time and it's just me and him basically I want to try the treat method like when he has urine in there I would let him pick something out a box for bowel movements I will do something bigger but we are still working on it I'm just being patience with him
