Met with my lactation consultant yesterday because my baby all of a sudden stopped nursing on 1 side...I was nervous I had an infection (that caused milk to taste different), or worried she had an ear infection on that side, or thought my left wasn't producing as much as my right...and it turns out that the issue was simply the fact that my baby wasn't comfortable being held on that side. So I have been switching up positions now and even tried nuring her on that side while walking around, and she has been doing much better! Thought I'd share incase any other BF Mom's out there are having an issue like I did. LC also said that you can't have milk production in 1 breast and not in the other. They go hand in hand, and if your baby is rejecting that breast or both for some reason, reach out for help abd support..don't give up!! It's most likely a simple fix!
