So my suegra posted a video of my son on her Facebook today and tagged me in it so my friends and family could see it. Well she speaks primarily Spanish and so the caption on the video is Spanish. I'm so mad because my grandmother decided to comment on the video "Not every one can speak your new language" this is why I don't speak to my family much. She and my mother are just the same and they wonder why I didn't want to move back home

@aprilshowers.bring.mayflowers exactly! Unfortunately she's an 85 year old bigot who doesn't give a shit. I just told her I wasn't the one that posted it and then translated for her. She then had the nerve to got "thanks for your reply" like well if I could have I would've deleted your comment and ignored you because it honestly didn't deserve a reply.

Older people w no filter. My grandpa was like that. I loved him so much but goodness his comments. That's why we teach our littles better

@luceromommy yeah, unfortunately with my grandma it's more than no filter. She feels like I'm abandoning the family because I no longer speak to her daughter, aka my mother. And doesn't realize it's for good reason.
