I want to vaginally deliver my son, but what are the reasons why I would have an emergency c-section? So I know what to expect.
I had a vertical emergency c-section because me and my son's oxygen was dropping ... That epidural I reacted wrong to it.
@nomli I had to go in with my "holier than thou" first time mom attitude and tell them that unless I'm dying, that under no circumstances are they to even mention a csection. At least they listened 🤷♀️
@sylvia_biddle, you're welcome! Most labors go well, and don't need a c-section! My aunt pushed for 15 minutes and bam, baby, and she was even high risk!
@worlds.okayest.mom, I wish I would've listened to him and just gone for the c-section at the two hour mark. I was exhausted beyond belief.
@kayayon @nomli @worlds.okayest.mom @mimimommyof2 Thank you! I have less than 8 weeks left until my due date and I'm am getting anxious/nervous about labor!
@nomli I almost punched the doctor for letting me try for that long 😂😂😂. He would continuous check me then eventually went "yeah, he's still in your hip so...."
Fetal distress, prolong labor, placenta previa, prolapse of the cord, placenta obstruction, cpd,
@worlds.okayest.mom, me too!!! He wasn't crooked though, just had a big head.
I had one after three hours of trying to push. I kept asking for a little more time to try. He got stuck and wasn't budging no matter how hard I pushed.
Yes, either of you in distress, some complication like preeclampsia or low/high fluid, early labor where vaginal would be ill-advised due to the baby's gestational age
Failure to progress, failure to decend, fetal distress, blood pressure spike/drop. I pushed for 3 hours and the jerk was still crooked so csection was best for us 😂😂
I had to vaginal births and my 3rd was emergency csection. Baby’s heart rate dropped and they decided that was best. He was perfectly fine tho. Good luck!
