So I looked more into kids with ADHD and ODD have a hard time learning in class and they typically just need extra help because they learn differently then other children and need extra time because they can't focus with all the noise around them
@terresa.nash mine too her teacher thinks she needs a smaller setting but she doesn't qualify too
@terresa.nash, I think Adderal helps with focusing. Medication for calming a person is a depressant. There is no pill that will do both. The extra help your talking about is just being able to have patience. Which makes sense for anyone, when you have patience with any kid, they’ll do better.
@nerualauren yes but my daughter has a hard time working when there is a lot of people around talking and stuff but when it's quite she can focus better she on medication and all it does is keep her quite and her behavior in check but it does nothing for her focus problem she has a hard time focusing when there is a lot going on
I did an extensive project on adhd for a psych class and it’s basically that hey have too many ideas, thoughts going on at the same time that tend not to focus
@verguinia she had been tested and her scores were to high for one according to them but she diagnosed with ADHD and odd and she is very easily distracted but she doesn't qualify getting another opinion
I also looked it up my daughter teacher wanted to evaluate her I had to write a letter requesting an evaluation it took like three months of evaluating and 5 different evaluators looking from different views one cognitive ,one social, one ot, and in the end the whole team concluded she doesn't qualify and is actually average . If you feel your child might need an evaluation go for it because it's better to get it done when they are younger to get the help they trully need to be successful adults it would benefit the child by helping them succeed in thier way of learning and understanding things. It's actually a path for that child of growth rather then what people who are ignorant call a label.
I work in a school with kids who are in the system. Most of them have ADHD, ODD, ADD, etc. The student to teacher ratio is small so each kid gets more attention. Maybe look into a smaller school where she will receive more one on one attention from the teachers. Also we have therapists, psychologists, & psychiatrists that work in the school & provide aide to the students
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...

I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.

A Statement from Mom.Life:
Hey everyone!
Last night, a new user began messaging our moms asking for private pictures of toddlers and young children. This is obviously unacceptable behavior, and the account was banned immediately. Although thankfully extremely rare on Mom.Life, several users were understandably upset by this, so we wanted to clarify a few things:
First off, Mom.Life has an absolute zero tolerance policy for child abuse and those who would prey on children. We strive to ...
