This is my first... when did/are you announcing your pregnancy to family? To friends? On social media. I for sure want to wait another couple weeks until I have my first soon and everything but can’t decide when I want to announce it.

I would until later in the first trimester, or early second trimester. Normally when all the risks go down a little .

That’s what I was thinking. I’ve seen too many friends announce early then end up miscarrying.

I waited until we found out the gender (at 15 weeks) to announce it on social media and as far as family, we announced it to a select few a few weeks after we found out (around 6 or 7 weeks along)

@mommaofjais, that’s what I was thinking. I’m around 6 weeks now, go March 1 for my first visit and ultrasound at 8 weeks. Thought about telling the important family then and waiting to post to everyone else when we find out the gender. Just wanted to see what everyone else’s opinion is

@stylesbaby18, yeah, it was super hard to keep quiet for so long..at least for me. I was super excited. But was scared I’d jinx it all by telling everyone

@mommaofjais, my sisters know because they were with me when I took the test but are sworn to secrecy. And my man knows but that’s it for now. I’m afraid of jinxing it as well and then letting everyone including myself down

I told my mom, sister, brothers after I found out that day so I was like 8 weeks. I didn't post it on Facebook for family and friends until I was like 32 weeks lol. Then I had him at 34 weeks. Everybody was shocked like I didn't even know you were pregnant! And why didn't you post before now. Like I didn't feel like putting it out there until I knew I was past the miscarriage stage.

@stylesbaby18, I understand. You’ll most likely feel a lot better once you hit the second trimester

Will your Mom be in the delivery room?

Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?
