@deliciouslyprofoundturtle, my dr recommended a blow dryer. I used it on the cool setting. I never had one ounce of trouble.
Loose clothes, pput a timer on and f take your meds because if you don't you'll be sorry, wear adult diapers or steal the pads/underwear from the hospital for bleeding. Walk. Also don't use a blow dryer because heat breeds infection. Just pat dry with a clean towel.
@morganmommy79 same I used to stand over the vents and let it dry it 😂
Try and walk around just take it slow and breastfeeding if u can it hurts because it he helping ur uterus go back to normal size but it’s worth it and take your pain meds!
The Blow dryer will be your best friend!! After you shower blow dry the area to keep it dry. Don't let any moisture in there. Wear a pad over the incision to absorb any moisture that does develop. Change it often. Walk every hour but only a little at a time that way you don't get stiff. Take your pain meds on time! You'll know when to cut back on dosage according to your pain level.
Yes, don't push yourself. Give yourself a few weeks. Take it easy. Let others do the lifting. But make sure you get some light walking in...it'll help you heal. Even if it's just up and down the hallway.
Stool softeners. Los of water.
@twistedrenots, every time I went to the bathroom I dried mine. Didn't want to take any chances of infection. Had several friends that got infected because they didn't use anything extra to dry with. It was nasty. 😐
