I worked until the day I went into labor

From what I know jobs only give you the unpaid leave for job security BUT you have to contact unemployment the first day you don’t work and they’ll pay you bi weekly during your 6 or 12 weeks that you take. Jobs aren’t the ones that pay you it’s the govt or whatever they’re called haha

You get disability and then paid family leave from the state not work . You can stop working at 36 weeks. I stopped working at 38 weeks only bc I work in a small office with not many employees and didn't want my coworker covering for me an extra 2 weeks. My boss did hire an temp though. My baby ended up coming 10 days early though lol she came 3 after my last day of work

Your work/employer doesn't pay anything you get paid from the state. Contact the employment development department they can give you more details. The prenatal coordinator at my doctors office helped me with sending out the paper work to them to start the process. You are able to start disability at 36 weeks. After the disability (6-8weeks depending if deliver vaginal or c section) it switches to paid family leave if you choose to take more time off.
