Question, I've been told by my step mom whose lawyer told her she did not have to send any clothes with her son to his fathers. I've been sending clothes just to be nice and so if my son needs clothes he has them even though he dad rarely uses them. But my thing is is that my sons father leaves my son in the clothes I send him in till the next day clearly because they get nasty with food and what not. I'm wondering if I have to send anything period. Tell him to bring his own clothes to change him into and if he wants his clothes once he brings him home he can have them back. Because I'm sick of my brand new clothes getting ruined! Guy can't even have the common decency to shout them or put them in the wash after they get gross. 🙄 I know that's going to be a pain in the ass to do though. Maybe I'll just by him cheap ass stuff to send him in that I don't care if they get ruined and won't send nice stuff anymore.

When me and my daughters father were broken up i always sent food, diapers and clothes with her and some clothes would come back ruined. People told me not to send clothes or to send her play clothes. But i didnt want my daughter looking like shes not well taken care of, so maybe send dark clothes or send bibs. I just yelled at

Also tired of it! I spend a lot of money on my sons clothes and he wears it one time and his dad ruins it. His dad claims he has clothes for him but he's a lazy ass and never does laundry and who knows if he really does have anything or how much. Cause he leaves him in the same clothes all weekend a lot of the times I can tell just on how gross Friday's clothes are when he leaves here at 6:30pm has been fed dinner by me sleeps the whole way 🙄

@alexandriadoebler, I've flipped out a few times. I'm like put a bib on him! And people and told me not to send any. He told me to only send a outfit for him to come home in. But I always send him a couple outfits and a couple PJ's. Because I to don't want him looking like he's not taken care of. But his father has him where the same clothes from Friday I send him in or God only knows what kind of clothes he has for him and he is always a mess 😣

My SO’s sends nothing, not a tooth brush or underwear. We have to buy them clothes and sneakers every time we have them. We stopped sending them all the clothes we bought for them back because we never saw it on them. Nor would she send them back. I think it can go both ways, either she has her set of clothes at both homes OR just send cheap/play clothes.

I don’t think you should send anything honestly! I know it seems harsh, but then you’ll know if he’s taking care of him right. Just send him in the outfit he leaves in, it’s not your job to provide anything at his dads not even diapers.
