Anyone have tips on how to get a baby to sleep on their back? My 3 month old hates being on his back. He prefers to be on his tummy but I only let him when he's napping and I can watch him. At night the only way I can get him to sleep is in his swing. I want to try to get him sleeping on his back so it'll make the switch to his crib easier.

@mamaofzuri, he can't roll over yet and haaaaates being swaddled. I feel terrible that he sleeps in his swing all the time but I know it's not safe for him to be on his tummy.
I'm thinking of buying one of those wedges so he's not completely flat haha I'm at a loss

@shaunataylor, personally my baby slept on her belly or her side from day one she never slept on her back and still doesn’t, if he is comfy like that I wouldn’t try to force him otherwise

iv spent the past few nights sleeping on living room chairs and the floor because my son wouldnt sleep anywhere but his swing, i know how your feeling

Kaelyn slept on her back for maybe about 2 weeks then was tummy from then till now. Our dr always just told us back is best but also that we should do what worked for us. She slept a lot better and longer periods on her tummy and just was all round a lot happier

My son only slept on his back and tummy. During the day give him lots of tummy time so he can build back strength to roll over better. Also (if you haven’t stopped already) don’t swaddle him.. gives him the chance to move better.. give him a soft cuddle buddy the he is bigger than and put it between his legs and let him hug it. Keep it tucked under the chin.. some Mums will say it’s dangerous.. but my guy still sleeps this way at 9 months. My only worry is he loves to pull his blanket over his head while asleep
