Anyone with a short cervix on here? I have a question!

Yes that could be because of her weight, just keep taking the progesterone and take it easy. That’s all you can really do, it sucks!😕

@coffee_is_the_new_black yeah i just stop seeing the specialist last week. That was my last appointment and be said for me to stop at 34 weeks. I haven't had braxton hick since I've started the pills. I just want to be prepared that once I stop will i start contracting. I actually had a contraction during my ultrasound that I didn't feel.

Mucus plug can grow back, but if you see bleeding or have any pains go in.

@motherof3nigerianprincesses, with my first I was having contractions(didn’t know I was) and I was dilating with a short cervix very very short I don’t even remember. So I was hospitalized that day for a month, and every night they gave me progesterone tablets to insert. After a month I was released but I had to stay in bed and had to continue taking the progesterone. I gave birth at 38 weeks.

My second pregnancy my cervix was shortening but they didn’t want to do the cerclage since I was like 19/20 weeks. It wasn’t as bad as my first pregnancy but I was still high risk. I had to see a doctor/specialist every other 2 weeks. They gave me shots for that one and I delivered at 35 weeks and 6 days.

@coffee_is_the_new_black so I'm just on the progesterone. I didn't get the stitch because they said it wasn't necessarily. My last appointment my cervix was about 1.14 cm but i havent dilated. I've noticed this week pieces of my mucus plug but no bleeding. And i was never put on bed rest. When did you give birth?

@motherof3nigerianprincesses, with my first pregnancy I was given progesterone in the hospital and when I got out for the rest of the pregnancy. With my second they were going to do the cerclage but I was told I was too far in my pregnancy to get the stitch and that they don’t do it after so many weeks. But that could be different with someone else’s doctor.

So I was put on bed rest. The other option they gave me since I could not get the cerclage was the shots.

@motherof3nigerianprincesses if you join, you can post and people will flock on it like seagulls. When I searched for conditions o had, nothing came up recent. But when I actually spoke up, like 20 women in 10 minutes came to me with their stories and expirience with their current pregnancy

@coffee_is_the_new_black did you get the stitch or did they just have you on the progesterone

@worlds.okayest.mom a lot of the stuff is old stuff that don't answer my question. I need a mom that's been through pregnancy recently

I had one at 28 weeks with my first pregnancy and with my second pregnancy. Was hospitalized with my first one for a month.
