Went to my 38 week 5 day appointment and was checked to see if I've dilated and no luck I haven't what can I do to dilate?? I will be 39 weeks on saturday.

I been walking this week so hopefully Monday I've dilated some!
How do you know if you are dilated? Does your water have to break so you can be dilated? I'm 38 weeks and I still don't feel labor stuff lol
Soooo I have decided that if by Monday I haven't dilated I'll opt for a c section.. Mostly likely they'll schedule that for sometime next week before or at 39 weeks. Because if by then I haven't dilated most likely I won't.. But if I have dilated I'll ask to be induced next week.

I had a membrane sweep today. Before the sweep I was 3-4 dilated & 75% effaced.

I was only at 1 cm and then I had sex yesterday and I got all the way to friggin 5cm but my labor stalled :( nurse told me it was because of the sex because Sperm has a high number of prostaglandins. Sex also triggers your body to release oxytocin. Another thing you can do is bounce on a yoga ball if you have one or do a ton of walking, i for one am in no shape to be walking haha.
