You can just call the hospital. Someone told me I needed a baby carrying carseat to be able to leave and my hospital told me they didn't care what car seat we had as long as it was size appropriate.

If it has a back seat and you have an appropriate car seat I don't see why not

My hospital didn't follow us out they helped me fasten her in right in our room then when we left they didn't go out with us.
