Has any one started weaning there baby at four months?
I weaned my Theo at 4 months hun with baby rice once a day. There is nothing wrong in weaning st 4 months if you feel that she is ready I would do it. Remember your the one that knows your child best xx
@chesscalouise, I’m planning on doing some BLW at 6 months, I’m looking forward to it! X
@hayleyf thank you I was thinking of just trying baby rice or porridge and taking it very slow see how she goes x
@hayleyf they don't actually need food until 6 months old the milk gives them everything they need even if there having a lot of it I'd still give them more an more until 6 months and baby led wean them it just costs more and destroys more clothes to wean them early unless you've been told to by a health professional I wouldn't bother, baby led weaning is more fun aswell and you can only do that at 6 months x
@chesscalouise, how come you wouldn’t wean early again? X
I’m giving my daughter baby porridge, and some simple blended Vegs mixed with some of her milk. If they spit it out all the time then maybe wait a couple of weeks x
I personally wouldnt give the baby sweet thing in till there 8 months it's more cos then they will prefer the sweet over the veg I say. Savoury first then introduce sweet last x
I weaned my daughter at four months but start with veg for her tea so one week she would have sweet potato mixed with her milk one week broccoli with her milk and just different veg each week pureed with her milk she's loves it x
Haha sounds like he really wanted food bless him
I weaned Max at 41/2months. I was reluctant to start any earlier and waited till he was showing me lots of signs that he was ready. He could sit up. Which means he can safely eat. He stopped drinking milk and lost weight because he wanted food. He would grab it if close enough and put it to his mouth. He knew what food was! 😂 Anytime we ate near him he was licking his lips and reach for it. I tried him with little bits of yoghurt and he loved it.
So I slowly gave him the odd spoonful of veg or baby porridge here and there to see how he got on.
Did your health visitor advice you to start now x @chelseyleamason92
@chesscalouise I Spoke To My Health Visitor Yesterday. I am just thinking about it at the moment it's good to have different opinions as I am a first time mam so never done it before. X
Personally I wouldn't wean at 4 months again unless my doctor or health visitor told me to x @chelseyleamason92
@chesscalouise Ah it's good to know some people wean early. My little girl has been showing signs of being ready. X
