Momas that are on birth control need opinions. I dont want another baby for long time after i have this baby wondering…

@spencermomof4 mine did too but I freak out from shots I was told with the iud it could pop a hole somewhere and was like nope forget that at least with this it's not a big worry the numbing burns like hell and the wrap they put on your arm is super tight but I took my off the next morning and it's been fine it itches but that's normal

@krystalracine1217 my husband wanted me to get shot every month, but I always forget go in, thinking getting arm implant

I would my OB is who actually told me about it

Dont get the Mirena IUD...i had that after my 2nd was born. It caused me to gain excessive weight no matter what i ate. I was never in my life overweight, and it continued to go up. i kept hearing women saying that mirena caused them to gain weight, so i decided to take it off in after almost 4 years and i went down 30 lbs within a few months and back to my healthy weight. Now the worse part wasnt the weight gain, but what it permanently did to my body. It caused me Polycystic ovary syndrome, making it harder to get pregnant. It was extremely hard for me to get pregnant. I found a group from women that had the mirena too and there are many more like me...with the Polycystic ovary syndrome. Treatment can help, but this condition can't be cured.

I have the thing that gets implanted into the arm I personally love it it hasn't moved no super bad scaring or burning

@mommytotheo wow. I cant remember take pill either always would forget and thats how i got pregnant each time, dont regret any my kids just dont want another any time soon after this baby comes. This last time wasnt on any birth control

@spencermomof4 I knew I didn't want the pill cause I can't remember to take one. I love my IUD can't feel a thing and I didn't even feel them but it in.

It hurt getting it put in but as soon as they were done I couldn’t feel anything

@mommytotheo im bad at remembering to take the pill so me and husband are trying figure out ehat were doing

@cassi1222 good, ive only ever had shot and pill hasnt really ever worked forgot go get shot then quit getting it forgot take pill

I'm on the Mirena IUD. Its last for 5 years and it can be taken out if you decide for a kid sooner. I knew I didnt want a kid anytime soon so I decided an IUD was the best option for me. So far I love it been on it for almost 3 months and I have no side effects from it. I love how you don't have to remember to take a pill

I’m in mirena they said 7 years of protection and it’s no estrogen hormone progestin so far so good
