I need advice my boobs arent producing enough milk and I have been drinking water and eating the calories I need to eat…

I would think it will be ok just keep pumping so your milk don’t dry up

How often is she eating. Usually they only need an ounce to ounce and a half per hour

@lydia09876 thats what I was thinking because I dont wanna give up breastfeeding but I also dont wanna her to go hungary so I thought if its a time that she doesnt get enough breast milk to make her about two ounce bottle of formula after breastfeeding her a bit or give her formula then try to pump my boobs and freeze the breastmilk but I dont wanna give her to much formula where she dont want the breastmilk

@mckallalynn.. she will feed every 10 minutes thats how I know she isnt getting enough and every time she latches on the boob she will start to cry while she is on the boob like she isnt getting enough and thats every hours and she will latch on like 7 times before she just stopes and starts to cry

@lydia09876 do you have any suggestions on the best formula thats close to breastmilk

@stellagorski1992 my son went through this and it wasn't because I wasn't making enough milk but because he was to comfort suck, and or cluster feed from 6weeks old til 10 weeks old I couldnt get him off my boobs because of the cluster feeding rhen him wanting to "suckle" at night. It could be this? From those two things it literally drains your boobs. Once we got over this I was able to store 118oz of breastmilk within a month. Good luck!

My baby wouldn't take any formula. She hated it all and she definitely tasted the difference. There's a huge taste difference in breast milk and formula. Just power pump to produce more. Pump for 20 minutes and then take a 30 minute break. Do that for 4 hours then take a 4 hour break and do it again. It made me go from 2 oz to 8 oz in 2 days.

Also oatmeal is great to help with supply if that is an issue! Also mother's milk tea.

@stellagorski1992 no problem. I wanted to stop multiple times but I had people to encourage me and tell me that these hard times will pass.

@ilovemykids97 I tried power pumping I couldnt do it because I would be trying to pump and I would get interupted or I would have to get off the pump during the 20 minutes and take care of my oldest daughter and lately my 1month old knows when im pumping and she will literly start to cry

@mckallalynn.. I eat oatmeal conataly and I have been drinking milk tea and still nothing its like my body doesn't wanna produce milk my lactation consaltant thinks my body is just not wanting to produce because its still healing from the c-cection I had

@stellagorski1992 our lactation consultant told us as long as the baby is gaining weight and not losing any your producing enough

Take the fenugreek vitamins. I have the same problem.
