Definitely be open to an epidural! In my birth plan I wanted to do it all natural, but I was flexible and got one cause my contractions were so intense.

Also, some tips for the hospital; they tell you that you can’t drink and give you a cup of ice. But when you’re in there for 12 hours you get PARCHED! So I was drinking the melted ice when nobody was looking. It saved my life!!

Also, hold out at home as long as possible. In my opinion, the less time at the hospital the better.

I don’t know if you’re a fan of Pinterest, but woman post their birth plans on there and it could give you some inspiration.

One more thing, you might read or hear horror stories. Believe me, you’ll be fine and everything will go smoothly 😉

Hi Valencia! I just had my first baby in December! It’s VERY exciting, but there are some things I wish I knew.

Like, the third trimester SUCKS! If you’re working, I recommend taking a month before you’re due date off just to rest. And birth plans.... BE FLEXIBLE! 😳
