I feel like my step kids will slowly learn to hate me...
they never listen and my step son who's 7 , thinks everything is fun and games and smiles when hes told to do something , so I have to yell at him.. I feel like they'll learn to hate me...
Shew, this post stirred up some serious realness in my neck of the woods also! I've had a really hard time with my now 6 y/o stepson. I read an article that made me feel like I could finally breathe. Initially I felt so terrible about being a disciplinary figure in his life and how I still struggle to even like him at times. There is such a tremendous amount of outside drama that it's easy to see now why I feel this way. In the article it said that we make the mistake if we assume that we are going to just automatically have a bond with these kiddos. Some are lucky enough to get it right way, but for the others, it's completely fine to feel like you don't "like," them yet. It suggested that you do an activity that you both may enjoy and just keep patient, don't make a difference between your children and them and keep going. I love my stepson, truly but I am challenged with liking him because of the constant drama and involvement of others who coach him to be nasty/say nasty & do nasty things to me.
Having step kids is hard work for sure I feel ur pain mama
@ashle. With my step son I know it's because he's with his mom most the time and she just let's her kids do whatever they want. I'm just hoping he hits that time where he realizes when he's with his dad and I he is going to have rules. He's still young (3) but he is beyond the normal 3 year old crazy.
@memybumpandi he agrees with me. its out of hand. my step son almost cut a kids finger off at school, slammed a little girls head into the bus window and drew an inappropriate picture to his teacher..
@player221995 my step daughter is 6, and my step son is 7.
@ashle. How old r they? Cause his daughter is like three, and she only goes to him when he is home.. And she act like I'm not even there and is to rude me she will tell me to shut up.
@memybumpandi ive known them for 3 years. and I put my foot down, but 10 minutes later they're back at it.
They’re testing you, how long have you known them? My stepson was horrid but once he realised I was here to stay he got over himself.
LOL! It was hard! I met him at 7 now he is 16, I think the first time I told him that I didn’t need his fathers permission to discipline him he knew what time it was LOL! I must have looked like a dragon that day, but boys push until you show them whose boss LOL! And every so often you have to remind them LOL!
Its hard because there is a line and you cant do what you would with your own. But we are the adults and they are our responsibility and a reflection of us (which you realise at the strangest times!!) So put your foot down, don’t be scared they wont hate you, they will respect you. Children are strange LOL!
@player221995 they still call me mommy , I just feel like they'll end up hating me..
I feel u ladies, my boyfriends daughter does the same thing to me, sometimes she ignores me and says nothing to me.
@countrymusic_mama same! my step daughter will stare at me and do the thing I told her not to do.. I HATE yelling at them but they just won't listen... ever..
I feel the same way about my step son to be... he likes to look right at you after you tell him not to do something and do it again. I've told my BF that his son is going to end up hating, but he can't stand his behavior either so he completely understands.
@ashle. Well its been about a yr, ive known them since they were very little, some kids think of it as replacing their mom, their good but sometimes still get in fight w them
@spencermomof4 how are they towards you now?
Dont take it personally, my step kids were like this when me and my husband got married
I feel like all you girls on here hate me 😔 so I'm gonna delete this app ✌️
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Overall whats everyones thoughts on this. Me personally I dont mind lgbt .but to teach it I feel like is a waste . I can teach my own children that if they ask or even wanna know
Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
When you're married and it's not wrong to sound like a Hoe. 🤣 Me:" I'll let you fck me in the @ss for a Hash brown and Mcgriddle from McDonald's this morning."My husband : " Sure , anything for you honey " Me. Squirms cause I hate anal but too lazy to cook this morning. 🤐
@ashle., 😱😱😱
