What do it mean when they see blood and protein in your pee

Maybe preeclampsia?? I heard if you have protein in your blood you could have it not really sure but that's my guest

Blood could be an infection

^ that’s my guess as well. Not sure about blood in your urine, that could be a UTI.

Protein - possible pre-eclampsia

Blood - possible UTI that has progressed to kidney infection

I also checked the Mayo Clinic site. It can also be caused by just being pregnant or any of the following:

-Dehydration

-Emotional stress

-Exposure to extreme cold

-Fever

-Strenuous exercise

Did the doc prescribe antibiotics?

@teebaby, oh, I’m sorry hun. Sounds awful. I’m on them too. I’m being treated for a kidney infection even though I was already diagnosed with a subchorionic hemorrhage and that’s why there was blood in my urine.

For me personally, I have to eat something with them like toast because they make me gag. Hope you feel better.

@teebaby, I have a pocket of blood accumulating between my baby’s placenta and my uterus. It does not affect the baby at all because I’m pretty far along. I was diagnosed when I was bleeding clots of blood. They can also detect it via ultrasound but my old doctor missed it.

I had protein in mine and it turns out I had preeclampsia but my dr said preeclampsia usually doesn’t hit till later in the 3rd trimester. So maybe UTI?
