How do you guys discipline your one & a half year olds looking for ideas he's starting to act up when we go places . my oldest wasn't like this at his age my youngest makes it so difficult to go anywhere and he don't seem to want to listen. He turns two may 31st

@adriennelea every kid is different. Hopefully, it will work for you. I was shocked at how well it worked at one for my daughter!
@mct ty I was wondering about time outs at his age I didn't have to start giving my oldest them till he was 2
Time outs worked great for us. 1 minute per year old. So he would have a 1 minute time out. We will stop where ever we are and do the time out. It works great for us
I stick to a strict daily routine. If he starts acting up, I take his favorite toy away. I also do time outs, but they’re called “quiet time” or “breaks”.
No doubt. I dont expect you not too but once you are home maybe set up things to do with them. I worked 12 hour days and was going to school online so for almost 9 months I didnt even see my kids but when I was dropping them off at daycare. I felt terrible. Although dad had them majority of the time I was gone 10 to 10 3 days and clinicals 2 days so I only seen them on weekends and even then I was doing all my school work to catch up
@beemommyof3 yea it probably is couls be cause he misses me but gotta make a living . can't just not work gotta make something of myself and be a good example .
But youngest being at daycare allowed him to do whatever all day so now it is time for school he is having a hard time adjusting to school and you need to sit down and be quite and listen to the teacher, you cant just play with toys all day and run around.
That could be an issue. The lack of authority. My oldest I was a stay at home mom, he is very well rounded and settled. My second son I was working and going to school so he didn't get the same attention and you can tell by the way he acts. He doesnt act out but you can tell the difference between the 2 I feel bad about not giving him the same. But I 100% dont do television or electronics. We go outside, read books, to the library, park etc. Things that will give us an opportunity to interact without distraction. Sometimes they just need 1 on 1 with you. He may be acting out because he misses you. At almost 2 I dont think discipline is the answer.
@beemommyof3 they go to daycare from like 7 to 4 . weekdays .
@beemommyof3 schedule he goes to daycare everyday I don't even get to see him most the time cause I'm at work a lot I just get weekends off .
@lydia09876 yea his dad was really bad add as a kid I am too but not like hyper add just unable to concentrate or pay attention I zone out all the time had a lot of trouble in school from it . but his dad was like the hyper add his whole life ik he was on meds growing up .
@beemommyof3 he don't listen I never had this problem with my oldest but my middle child's dad was super add growing up its stressful picking up my oldest from school with him cause he tries to run off everywhere and grab everything can't go out to eat with him he won't sit still his daycare teacher said she can't get him to sit still either . ik he's just a toddler one year old but dang he's just wild.
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?

My husband is on his way to his mothers house, and he has no idea when he gets there that he is going to find out his little brother killed himself thismorning.
@adriennelea she faces the wall in the corner. At stores we just find a corner and have her face it. We also run a timer and make sure she can hear it chime so she knows that the only thing that ends her time out is the chime. We use the timer on our phone usually.
