Aveeno is not miracle,but what's always helped with our eczema is Auquaphor eczema

Aquaphor, baby dove, eucerin, cetaphil

@momboo, thanks yeah I’m starting to not have faith in aveeno ugh I have used aquaphor on my older son before on his cheeks so I will try that I’m just concerned cause he always has his hands in his mouth and I’m afraid he will get the aquaphor in his mouth that way from his cheeks

Are you using regular baby aveeno or the aveeno eczema one.. They all work wonders but try aquaphor first and see if that helps

Aquaphor is amazing. Also, try putting a little hydrocortisone while he's asleep.

Oh, and keep his skin moisturized. Dry skin makes the itching worse. And when you bathe him, use lukewarm water.

@hthomas0308 try this one.. When your done taking him a shower put the lotion on while he is wet don't dry him off thats what I do with my son

@hthomas0308 I used to use Johnson and Johnson's, which gave my son a rash all over his body. I switched to aquaphor and never looked back.

@hthomas0308 no worries, it's was on cheeks of my little one sometimes I couldn't prevent her not touch it by hands and another time she's had rash around her lips and Dr told it's okey if she's will accidentally lick it ..well here we go we 1 and thanks God nothing bad happened

I use this one and it works great. You may have to apply a few times a day until you can get it under control. Then just once a day.

Cetaphil!!!! Use the cream, it will clear up in a couple of days! I live by this product and have used it for years on my family. I have eczema really bad but no one would ever know.... CETAPHIL!!!!!!! The cream!!!!!!

The reason the pedi won't prescribe is the prescription creams and such are very strong. My husband has psoriasis on his face and scalp. He has a shot he gets every 3 months that literally isn't covered my insurance (it's over 2k). We are in a program with the drug manufacturer so it costs us $5.00 each time. He has creams, oils etc to help. Does it work? Yes. But, it's strong treatment that definitely isn't for kids.

My advice is look into all natural ideas online or creams that are out there. I watched an episode of The Profit last night (on demand. We're behind) on Monica Potter and her signature product was a cream for eczema and psoriasis that was all natural.

5 months is not too young my daughter has severe eczema she has had it since she was born and I use hydrocortisone cream mixed with Vaseline. It hurts them so bad. I been giving her it since 1 month old
